I am a fine arts photographer and have published over 60 photography books . I’m super meticulous about my work. Von Thomas is a top notch printer. He has done three artist prints for me so far and I’ve been totally happy with his work each time. Also he is great to work with… he’s patient and adapts to what his client is after. Von is a truly a professional. The equipment he employs is at the top of the industry. I’ve been in a few print shops, but nothing comes close Von’s level of detail. I was unaware you could even capture that level of detail with a scan. If you’re an artist you need to go check out Thomas Editions if you’re looking for prints.

Von's a consummate pro, proud craftsman and a cool cat to chat with. He's my go-to for printing from now on. You won't be disappointed.

I came in with a cell-phone photo of one of my paintings that I wanted to get printed for a gift.
Von was happy to oblige, but also took the time to educate me about scanning the original, showed me what was possible, and side-by-side compare a scan with my phone photo. I could see it was a huge difference, and am so grateful he guided me in this better direction. The resulting print was magnificent... something that I'm so proud to give to my client.
Von will now never get rid of me because I want all my art scanned all the time. I'm just that excited about the outcome.

As an artist who has some unusual requests when it comes to making prints of my work, I've always dreaded the process of finding a print shop willing to work with me on my projects. I don't do high enough volume to be a priority for bigger print shops, so I needed to find an owner operator willing to do custom stuff and be as invested in the outcome as I am... or at least pretend to be. Humor me, people! I've tried several, but never felt like they really cared that much about the outcomes or were willing to go outside the box. Von Thomas is the man I was looking for. You can tell he loves what he does and has been up for partnering with me to try different approaches to help me get my vision closer to reality, which I really appreciate. High quality and attention to detail makes the drive out to the Westside totally worth it.
