There is a bulldog that freely roams around the business that the owner has little to no control of. Throughout my visit today, the dog ignored all verbal commands from the owner. Upon completing our transaction and heading to the exit, the dog jumped up on me, latched onto my leg with its claws, and would not let go. The owner simply kept shouting “bad dog”, to no effect. It was not until I hopped over to the owner that the dog let go, to which the owner simply said, “He’s still just a puppy.” I was not apologized to, I was not asked if I was alright, and in no way did it seem the owner was interested in my well-being. The owners’ lack of concern was extremely disappointing and I am seriously worried for any children, senior citizens, or anyone else who may visit this business and would not be able to protect themselves in the situation I experienced.

Takes your information and money then neglects to let you know there was anything wrong until you show up. Maybe when you take someone's information like a phone number you can call them. Dont come here. There are far better places.
To respond i received no phone call or email. No messages were left on my phone.

I hate to write bad reviews for local businesses but as a photo lab, this business is a hard fail. Their computers are so old they couldn't get my photos off a USB disk (no issues on two computers at home) and then they asked me to use a file transfer program and pay ahead of time before even sending the images in. It was also $20 for a 11X14 without any colour correction, etc. As a hobbyist photographer who specializes in underwear work, colour correction is important and going off the samples they showed me, they don't do this.
To top it all off, the owner asked me if I'm Indian and then proceeded to tell me they work with Indian programers who are 'great.' I wasn't there to make small talk about national origins, just get some photos printed.
I ended up using Bay Photo which was half the price with colour correction and very professional results. And I was able to order online.

Horrible experience here. Wishing it were a different outcome as I don't like the thought of writing bad reviews on small businesses but I feel because of how insensitive it was, this is necessary. I called to get my father in laws pictures off of his camera since he just passed away and there were pictures on there our family would have wanted on it. The gentleman I spoke with over the phone said we would have it all by Wednesday and it sounded promising. When I got there I handed him the camera, after telling him the story of the camera again in person. He took the camera, opened it up and started ripping out the film right there and he said "oops, sorry there's nothing I can do for you it's been exposed to light and the camera was dead". After leaving I called anywhere I could to see if there was anything salvageable on it and they all said he destroyed anything on there by doing it in the light instead of going into a dark space. So, Instead of trying to change the battery or just not touching it and telling me to go elsewhere he made it to where we'll never get those photos. I see mixed reviews on here and I'm so happy for those who have had good experiences here. Pictures are something almost everyone holds on to for memories and we lost out on the ones on that camera today. Hoping others have a different outcome.

I am disappointed i paid up front for my pictures of my kids from when they were young and due to Covid and health issues i was not able to pick up developed pictures. Instead of mailing photos to me or offering a solution the owner threw then in the trash. I called one last time and the owner offered no apology and was unkind to me on the phone. I would find another place to get your photos done.

Poor-Worse is a more likely description of this place. They charge you in advance, because they are so poor at their job, they would never make any money. I dropped off a roll of 12 exposures, b&w, to be processed and scanned. No prints at all. They informed me that it would be ready in 3 days. I returned a full 7 days later and it wasn't ready! I was informed that it would be ready by 3pm, later that day. I called at 3, still not ready! Then the guy wants to give me some song and dance about why his store can't provide me the service they promised and already charged me for. I informed him that I wanted a refund, but he refused, claiming that he had already provided me my service!? How does he figure this to be true? I don't have my negatives, or my disc of images? What ever you do, go somewhere else. Costco, even CVS is a better choice....at least they will get the job done!

Been going to Rusty for years. Not only outstanding friendly, personalized service and good pricing, but attention and advice for special or unusual requests. Has also steered me to excellent event photographers and videotapers on several occasions. Five +++ stars!

its 2016 and now they are the only place in simi that develops film without having to ship to a different city. fee is due not when you make your order, but when you pick it up. i have always gotten what I've asked for when ordering prints and a CD of my color film photos.
